Details
This ancient ‘Akhra’ of Hindu community is located at kalana village about one kilometer North to the Tarail- Kendua road of Tarail upazila in kishoreganj district. According to the hanging board of the akhra this akhra was built in 1689. This is actually an Akhra of Sri Sri Ramkhishna Gosai but it is now known as ‘Kalna Akhra’. Some local people believe that this infrastructure was made during Hazrat Shah Sekander (R.) who came there to preach Islam. When the local muslims appealed to shah Sekander (R.) to stop the construction of the Akhra, he refused and gave permission to the baishnabs to construct the akhra.
